The BCC was Founded for the Sole Purpose to Network Cyclists and Build Community Through Cycling.
Cycling in the summer can be about casual riding, sprinting, spinning, big-ring hammerfests or what ever your chosen type of riding is. The BCC was founded for the Sole Purpose to Network Cyclists. It has grown into a successful club which accommodates Riders at almost all skill/fitness levels. Everyone should be able to participate and have fun @ their respective levels.
BCC Fundamentals/Values:
1. Safety First - Rides/Routes are designed with Riders in Mind. Departure times are early because it helps minimize traffic(Cars/People) resulting less distractions.
2. Riding Etiquette - All Members are aware of other members safety and enjoyment. Signaling is a Must and Staying within One Lane on a Double Lane Road(4 or More Riders) and Single File on a One Lane Road.
3. Members Input - Members are encouraged be involved and help host rides. The more the better. It gives New Members the chance to choose Rides they want to do and ultimately gets you on your bike more!
4. Good Times - The BCC is not just a cycling club. It's a bunch of people that like to have fun! There will be Planned Trips, Events etc. throughout the season. We will always have our "Beer Nights"!

Fairly large crowd this week - thanks for showing up. Even have a few pics from Beer Night!
A few climbs up Brimley - practice for this weekend's race up Effingham Hill - followed by a quick jaunt down and then up Meadowcliffe. The sprint... well, I overplayed my hand this week. Jeff and I had some pretty long pulls along Kingston, and my solo break fell apart about 400 m short once I'd burned out my afterburners. Mohamed and Steve J blew by me like I…

BEST DAY YET - Terrific scenery, great weather and it almost feels like my climbing is getting better! My own triple crown which compares favourably to Peter Sagan's third stage win.

What a great sunny day to be out and about. After a few attempts to shorten the route to Terracotta we settled to do the 167Km ride. Jamie, Jason, Bill, Stefan, Steve J, Charles, Ian W, Patryk and I made a good size group to battle the headwinds going north west. Unfortunately we missed the turn into scenic Humber station road, because its called Clarkway drive further south.
At the bakery mid point I heard Jamie and Patryk were lamenting how they didnt feel too strong. I think…

Hope the other groups had a great ride.
We sure did. Our little group of Kerri, Steve, Jonathon, Andre and rode north DonMills / Leslie to Vandorf following route 5 and wow this is a keeper. It was amazing, I am sure the were no cars for most of the ride until we were at coffee in Goodwood. Much to our surprise, Jody and Dru were saving us a table at the coffee shop and after a few moments, Paul arrives perfectly clean with a big smile. Sunshine for the ride home, smiles all…

Stage 1
Well the day i have been waiting for has arrived and things couldn't be better. I arrived at the hotel after about 8 hours of total travel time and was met by the mechanics at the front of the hotel. The pulled the bike out of the bag and got to work putting it together - ahhh so nice. As I made my way back to the lobby, I passed the staging area for Spidertech, Bissell and Bontrager/Livestrong teams who are all staying…
