Training for the Furnace Creek 508: Peter Oyler, of WattsUp Cycling, is training for another gruelling event. No, he's not riding across the continent. But he's essentially riding through the gates of hell! Peter will be competing in a gruelling 508 mile road cycling event in Death Valley, California...where he will endure 35,000 feet of climbing, and the potential negative effects of altitude and heat, not to mention sleep deprivation. Peter has been coached by Endurance Coach & Sport Scientist, Dr. Greg Gannon, since early this year to prepare for the specific demands of this event. The cycling event is October 2 & 3, 2010.
If you would like to learn more about Peter's training for the event, please attend Dr. Greg's presentation, Training for the Furnace Creek 508, on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:30 pm at WattsUp Cycling. All are invited. Thank you in advance.
