Event Description

May 28th, ZM Cycle is hosting the downtown crit. For those of you who are new to criteriums, this is an ideal way to see this action packed high velocity cycling event.

For those experienced racers, I believe this is the most fun you can have on two wheels provided you keep the bike with the rubber side down. You must be UCI licensed to compete. Given they changed the event date, I am racing!

I am so bummed that I wont be around for this race. A great race and a tremendous spectator venue.

Had a blast watching the action last year and look forward to watching it all take place again this year.

I checked Ziggy's site today, he has posted the cancelation of the Zig-Zag by the lake (May 30th) and changed the date of the date of the downtown crit from the friday to the sunday (May 30th). Check the events page of Ziggy's site.

YES!! the registration is now on the OCA website as May 30th - a sunday morning. Looking forward to the opportunity to race in the 3rd annual.

No can do - the revised date conflicts with one of Lynne's running races (T.O. Women's Half Marathon)

Boourns! I am also running in the Womens' Half that morning (or doing something close to running) so can't go to watch and cheer! Will think of you guys as I plod between the chocolate stations and firefighters that is! ;)

Any idea why they moved this thing to a Sunday? Friday evening was way better if you ask me.

Sorry I've got to miss this one. Family commitment. It's a great event.

Good luck to the BCC racers participating QB, Peter S and Demetre (and maybe more who've not yet registered).

Michael, from what I've heard, the move to Sunday was necessary because of the higher cost of obtaining permits to close the roads on Friday night.

I'll be there as a spectator, to try and get some cool pics, and cheer our guys (and girls??) on! Looking forward to it.
