Paris Ancaster with the whole family

What an epic cycling day for the Cuthbertson family yesterday!  For the first time, we all took part in the Paris Ancaster event.  Willa did the skills camp (but she wants to race the 40 next year), Lynn Dee, Morgan and I rode the 70.  Great weather, good times!  Great to see so many BCC'ers out there.  Field was fast (Steve Bauer was 134th), lots of cyclocross bikes out there.

Sunny Saturday Ride ... Is Spring Finally Here?

Even though there was frost on the ground and it was still cold, we had quite a great turn out.

Good Friday Road Race

Crossing the finish line at the end of GFRR.

The Good Friday Road Race is *normally* the kick-off of the Ontario road race season.  A little different this year, as the Calabogie race near Ottawa actually started off the season, but that's a closed course - technically, it's not even a road (it's a speedway).

Geeky stats

Here are the geeky stats for Saturday Apr 12th, 2014 Zoo Loop (group 3/4?)

Today it was kind of funny, we were supposed to be the 3/4 group but we end up catching up the fast guys after they went to the Guild. The ladies were leading most of the time in the way up.  Go girls! :-D

Ah, and Laura killed everybody on the Cementery segment at Kingston Rd. I just saw her going like a gazillion kph and nobody could catch up with her.

BCC Rides

Cycling in the summer can be about casual riding, sprinting, spinning, big-ring hammerfests or what ever your chosen type of riding is. The BCC was founded for the sole purpose to network cyclists. It has grown into a successful club which accommodates Riders at almost all skill/fitness levels. Everyone should be able to participate and have fun at their respective levels.


Weekend Rides: 


Saturday Morning
Start time is 8:00am early season, 7:00am as days get longer. Route distances vary from 55-120km and several pace groups are available. Saturday morning rides focus on a social vibe.


Sunrise Sundays
Rides will start around sunrise. Rotating routes will focus on distances from 55-160km.  Remote start rides outside the GTA.

Weekly Rides:



Advanced Turbo Tuesdays
For this ride, advanced group riding and bike handling skills are required. You must also be aware of your limitations. Riding speed is 35kph+.


Hillicious Thursdays
Starts at 5:40am. This ride includes Bayview, pottery rd, redway other local hills.



Starts at 5:30AM. Bring your CX or MTB out for a great Don trail ride. Some weeks, we'll head to a local park to practice CX skills.
