Debut of the latest kits!
Tonight's Polka Dot jersey goes to Jason Shuker, who just had to squeeze in that last climb. Wasn't sure he'd be back up in time for our Tour de Scarborough, but somehow he made it!…Continue
So we had a few riders(30ish) decide to head up to Simcoe... most from Elgin and a few from the beach!
We had a nice 10km warm up then let the faster pace group go ahead. So what I have to report is that there was a wide range of riders(skill and fitness) in my group of about 20. I proceeded to do what I always do... and it worked once again! We(as a group) managed a 32kph Average(rounded up like the penny) up to lake simcoe.... At the lake, I called a…Continue
Saturday another great weather for a ride to Unionville and Stouffville. The early birds got into two groups one to Unionville and the other Stouffville. Hope the Stouffville group had a great ride. Unionville group, start the on a moderate pace up to Unionville Starbucks. …Continue
Well, construction is finished on our usual hill, so back to Brimley we went!
Hope everyone had a good time - we had a large turnout, and it was nice to see that no one was taking it easy. Well, maybe Kirk, but he had a good reason (flat tire). Great job everyone, but the King of the Mountains this week was definitely Paul M for…Continue

At one time or another, we have all arrived at the start of a ride without having looked at the route map. It's not ideal, but we've all done it. We all also know that, for many reasons, it’s better to have plan for getting out and back that is more sophisticated than blindly following the wheel in front of you. A number of BCC members put a lot of time into scouting, planning and drawing the routes in tools like MapMyRide so that they are available to all. Unless you’re already so…Continue
Amazing race course yesterday.
I exceeded my expectations finishing with the lead pack. 44.5km average over 110k according to my Garmin.
I avoided several crashes taking place in and around me throughout the day. Overall the race was very manageable (avg. heart rate 135) except for about 5 breaks…Continue

The Saturday Group Ride went super well today for the early birds. Sunny a bit windy, and plethora of BCC showed up to partake of our weekly ritual of Saturday riding.Seems to be everyone are planned to make a ride up at Stoufville and a few that decides to do a short Zoo Loop. We started our ride with Peter S, Andrew M, Kristina and crew leading the fast group as the second group to Stoufville started on brisk pace.So the entire second group keep it together as we make our way up to…Continue
As you may or may not have heard, BCC was well represented last Sunday in the provincial road races up in Holland's Marsh. In the early races it was Jim W and Peter C holding it down with a solid 19th and 32nd respectively. I'd be really interested to hear about their ride and thoughts on the course. Our own Leslie H took silver in her race for her…Continue
