Weather gods shone upon us again!
Fun fast ride and great work by everyone. I think this was among my favorite rides of the year!
Up Leslie with nearly no stops, around Musselman's, Wagg, sprint down concession3 to butter tarts, and fast home with a tail wind.
115 km, left grinder at 7:05, home by 11:20.
Slightly overcast to start, a little fog on Wagg Rd, and glorious sunshine from Goodwood to home. Cool temperatures made the choice of clothes interesting. …Continue
I found the groups I rode with had great cohesion and communication. Steve, thanks for taking on the faster group. Guys/gals that helped out on the Zoo Loop... Much appreciated!
I heard that the fast Stouffville group ran into some angry drivers. Let's make sure to maintain a tight double paceline on the single lane roads. I have been observing that groups, in general, are getting sloppy from time to time. Trust the rider in front of you,…Continue
Jason, Lana & I decided to head down and do a recon for the End of Season Ride. Beer on Tap, Pizza, looking promising:-) Check out the…Continue
BCC had few members that Raced this weekend. Congrats to Jamie on her win! David, great job on a tough field!
Jason, probably won't be in the beginner category for long:-).

Well, last year a few rode this route, Alex, Ian and Charles of course, and I heard all about how great it was, how quiet the roads are, how wonderful the views of the rolling countryside and the lake vistas. I jumped at the chance to ride it this time.
Not to be a spoiler but, the story ends well, it was all it was billed to be.
We met at Oshawa GO at 8:10am, Alex, Charles, and Jody by train, I drove ('cause I slept in alittle). A little riding in town, over to and thru…Continue
Another great year at the Centurion, Blue Mountain. A perfect day, not too cool in the morning and sunny! Great to see so many BCC'ers come out to this well organized event. From what I have heard, it has been all positive feedback from all that attended.
Special congratulations goes out to the Women of the BCC as they represent and managed to take home some podium finishes(C50) and "hardware".

Well, some of us started at Marie Curtis at 6:30, some of us began at Leslie & Lakeshore at 6:30, and one of us (Steve W.) even started at Leslie & Lakeshore at 5:30! Actually, I think Dave O. started out there too.
Our MC Park group was about 14 strong. Lets see who I can remember: Steve W., Dave O., Nick B., Brian M., Evan, Megan, Terry, Nick, Wayne, Brian W., a fellow I've never met wearing Enbridge jersey, Jason, Alexx and yours truly.…Continue
To my fellow BCC'er
On September 30, 2012, I will be participating in CIBC Run for Cure in Toronto. I decided to participate so I could help end breast cancer around the world.Because every 3 minutes, a woman in Canada dies of breast cancer. Worldwide, that figure is at 69 seconds. Recently my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.
I’m writing to ask you to support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every dollar will make a…Continue

I've been meaning to share my ride story and pics from Mt. Tam in Califonia with everyone for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it until now.
That morning, Leigh (my new wife) and I went to Alcatraz (highly recommend going). I was excited about going for a ride as we had scoped out some of the route the day before. We rented a tandem and spent the day touring around the other side of the Golden Gate bridge. This was my first and last chance…Continue

Wow, BCC took over Brimley tonight!
A sizeable group of BCC riders took one last stab at Thursday evening Brimley repeats. What a way to close out this seasons Hillicious rides!
Thanks to everyone for coming out this year - Between Thursday night rides and my own training, I estimate that I've climbed that blasted hill between 150 and 200 times this season, and I have to say it is so much more fun with company. And it is great to…Continue
So, Jason organized this super-fun excellent ride to Pickering, and 9 people showed up: Jason, Neil, Laura, Leigh, Maarten, Marc, Dave Adams, Andre and Me. Andre rode to Lawrence and Beechgrove then took off for his own ride. We went through a bunch of little paths (that would've been sketchy with a large group, but were perfect for a small group). I'd never been that way before! Everyone had a nice chat, and the ride along the Lakeshore was…
Our ride starting/ending at Elgin Mills was great! Pretty cold up there at 7am, but at our just north of 30k pace, I managed to warm up by the turn at Old Homestead! Two flats didn't slow us down too much, but we ended up scrubbing our time on those two Kennedy lumps just north of Aurora road when nearly squashed the little dude in the last pic in the reel below. Ended up stopping to help him to the other side of the road and (hopefully) to safety. Oh, and…Continue
