"What's wrong with this picture? Cut lock and missing 1 BMC GF01 and 1 Trek Madone. Stolen yesterday as I found out when going riding at 6am. Be on the lookout and keep your bikes safe and secure."
Rule #9 was invoked early on Sunday at the Spin For Limbs 3rd Annual Ride and Festival. It absolutely chucked it down for the 8am start of the 100km ride. BCC should now be known as Badass Cycling Club, as despite the atrocious weather, Jim, Keld, Andre and Lucas, peeled their-good-selves out of bed to join me on a morning where it would have been easy to look out the window, roll over, and go back to sleep. Bernadette, Suzanne, Nils and his 10 year old son Laurits also attended to ride the…Continue
Such a fun Event!
Thanks so much to Jim, Bob, Sandra and Bernadette for organizing. Thank you to all the BCC'ers that made it out!
We met such great kids today and the fantastic community leaders and police officers who spend hours of their time making these kids' lives better and exposing them to fun - Cycling!

The week earlier I had ridden the Epic Tour Halton 140 km. and that was enough for this newbie, coupled with the fact that Centurion would probably entail staying the Saturday…Continue
Last Sunday September 7 was a perfect early sunny fall day for the Halton Epic Tour.
BCC was well represented by Bob Knight, Chris Andrews, Neil Bacon, Jim Vandekas, Joseph, Wayne, Dave Adams and me. (I may have missed one or two others.) We all did the Gran Fondo route of 140 km. There are other distances available from 50 km to the 170 km Ultra Fondo.
Great event and well-organized, with police managing traffic on every busy corner. Well-stocked rest stops, clear directions…Continue
Sunday was a beautiful day for the inaugural Northumberland Nasty, a 65km cyclocross event held by the Cobourg Cycling Club. The Cobourg CC was very welcoming and laid out a very well-marked course with two checkpoints stocked with tubes, water and gels.
Last Thursday I went to the BCC cross session led by Jrdo/Jman...the cyclist originally known as Jason (I think). Unfortunately due to injury, I wasn't able to participate but I managed to get a few pics and videos. It was a great night at Riverdale Park - lovely weather, friendly locals and a good turnout of about a dozen riders.
I would encourage anyone who…Continue
