A cool and frosty morning, but, what a day it became. Photo is at Plug Hat rd as the sun is rising, solid frost on the fields. The six of us rode north York Durham, and just 'cause the day was so nice, we turned west on Bethesda rd to get to 9th above Stouffville, ride Musselmans in the other direction, then over to Goodwood for buttertarts, pastry, and coffee. …

Hey all,
Thanks to all that came out to participate in the EOS Ride. It was definitely a beautiful day to be on the bike. We welcomed a few new riders on the ride, all of which seemed to have a good ride at the end. Dave and Leigh: I'am sorry I missed you on the head count. Glad you were able to enjoy the sights, rollers and scenery all the same. Thanks to Sean for helping push the pace. Greg, thanks adding some distance for the stronger…

So I am sure there was something about everyone waiting at the top of Sydenham hill to get the group together but alas, when Leigh and I got to the top there was no one in sight. That, combined with the fact that I had not committed Paul's review of the route to memory, nor printed off my own directions left us lost 1.8 km into the ride. We missed Rock Chapel Road and headed up to Dundas at which point I got a flat (2.5 km in!). Got that fixed and we figured we'd make our own route up…

Looking south with Ian and Alex at the top of Mt Pleasant hill. Great view from this spot, the CN tower and the bank buildings are in line with the road, which would be visible if I used a real camera.
The forecast called for wind SW15-20Kph changing to W30 Kph. There was wind, but I don't think it was as strong as that. Especially with Ian and Alex doing so much work!
We made a slight route change, turned North on Cold Creek from Kirby to reduce the time…

We proved we can do this thing without Dan! Here's a pic to prove it. Had to take three to get us all in, then piece them together.

It was a cool and blustery daaaay, but, any day on the bike is better than the couch! Glad so many made it out, nice to meet you Jose (man in black on the left)
Other than the stick that jumped up into Ian's back wheel, the ride was another success. I saw Ian later with his repaired steed, it wasn't terminal, nothing few new pcs couldn't fix.
The 'faster group' took a side trip through the new bike path Ellesmere to Thompson Park, re-enter at Brimley and Lawrence. thru the…
