Hello everyone - welcome to 2015!
The 2015 Race Team group was setup to provide a rallying point for BCC club members who race, or who are interested in racing, with a primary objective to be a means of networking and mutual support. The group is open to all club members interested in racing, regardless of whether you are new to racing or experienced, whether you race under BCC colours, as part of our affiliated TO Wheels Epic Sports Performance BCC race team, or for…Continue

I realize that I have asked you all in the profile questions if you have read the rider's notes, however, I thought it would be best for me to help clarify by defining the responsibilities of riders in a group. Basically taking all the riders notes and applying it to Club Rides.
I think this will really help our club be safe and ultimately result in the enjoyment for all riders. Let me know what you think.

JRod, Mouckie and I spent the night in London so that we could be relaxed and ready well ahead of the early race start times. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to check anything out which was a shame because it was my first time in London. Hopefully I'll have another chance to check it out in the future! Strangely, the downtown area seemed very quiet when we…Continue
Hope I'm not stealing anyone's thunder, although there seems to be much rumbling today. I was just thinking about today's Lake of Bays Road Race, wondering how the troops faired. The BCC kicked some serious butt today, and Paul M won his particular race!
Congrats to everyone for going all the way up there to race in what…Continue

Well the day i have been waiting for has arrived and things couldn't be better. I arrived at the hotel after about 8 hours of total travel time and was met by the mechanics at the front of the hotel. The pulled the bike out of the bag and got to work putting it together - ahhh so nice. As I made my way back to the lobby, I passed the staging area for Spidertech, Bissell and Bontrager/Livestrong teams who are all staying…Continue
Well following about 6 months of training the tour of California is looming large in my week ahead. Within the week i will be in the saddle trying to grind through the most epic physical experience i have faced. I keep reflecting on whether i have created enough resources to deal with the incessant climbing day after day. I can only hope that a watt is a watt is a watt and that whether i am climbing or riding a flat my increased watt output will carry me to the finish line.
Please comment if you have anything to add.

It's that time... the outside riding season is nearing to an end. That's not to say I'm suggesting anyone stop riding - Cross season is just starting and we will have Winter training at Watts Up like last year(link to last years group). Just the formal rides will come to an end. Informal rides will always exist as the size of the membership is ever…Continue
One hundred and thirty four Master B (40 - 49 year old) racers lined up on Sunday afternoon to vie for the 2011 National Master road race championship on an incredibly hot and sunny Burlington course.
BCC was represented by three riders - myself, Peter Skalenda, and Steve Fantaske. The race would prove to be incredibly gruelling, at a distance of 113 km with over 1100 m of climbing. Add in temperatures well over 30 degrees (with a humidex pushing close to…Continue
