Wayne,

Again sorry to hear crap like this happening to a friend and fellow rider. May I suggest, if you haven't done so already contact the police and give them a description, serial numbers and pictures of the bikes. I'd also post them on Pink Bike in their stolen forum (http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/listnew/?category=68), Craig's List and Kijiji. I've checked them, but the JA who took them hasn't posted anything......yet. As we all know, most criminals aren't that intelligent, hopefully neither is this one!

Wayne;

So sorry that you were not able to join us for the ride this morning, and could not believe your text message. I will keep my eyes open and use my network to try to locate them.

Hopefully they will be located and thanks for everyone supporting Wayne at this difficult time.

Wayne,

So sorry to hear that.  Whoever took your bikes might have been eyeing your bikes the whole time and follow your movements and schedules.  I will keep my eyes open and hopefully the one who took your bikes are not dumb enough.  The link below you can register your stolen bike.

Thanks everyone.  I am really pissed about this happening.  Simon just let me know that someone else had their bike stolen from my street when they were unloading from the Spin for Limbs event. Can't stress enough to keep your bikes safe - I have a $10K dent in my wallet thanks to the two bikes, wheels, accessories. Worse still - my insurance only pays $300 per bike. That sucks about the insurance.

I wonder if this theft (and mine for that matter), was random or if something like Strava plays a part?  If I were a thief - I'd look for bike clubs on Strava, see the rides and areas and try to look up the names since most of us put our full names on there.  I think it would be pretty easy to find out where some nice bikes are kept.

You can set privacy settings for a buffer... Unless you allow people to follow you, they won't be able to see your end location...

I'll be on the lookout.  If you can post photos in the City of Toronto Cycling Facebook page as well, or post them here and i can put them up for you.
