Take the rain, add the challenging course, then add some BCC members who gathered under the guise of group 3, but have not always ridden together that much, and it made for a great way to spend a Sunday morning and early afternoon. The route was relatively traffic free and I am sure on a clear day the scenery would have been as spectacular as some of the rollers. I definitely want to revisit the town of Belfountain and explore the area around Forks of the Credit. My wife sent me a text about 9 a.m. asking if I was drenched by then. I replied to her following the ride that drenched was an understatement. She replied saying BCC should be renamed Beach Cycling Crazies. When I arrived home and after freshening up I tried to explain to her how exhilarating it was to ride as a group on an unknown course with turn by turn directions and just letting the morning unfold organically. And then I said she should look up Rule #9. And what greater motivation to keep going than to have Juan driving his van on the shoulder following you, knowing that you could bail at any time and have a free ride back to Coventry North. That was never an option but made me feel like the Lanterne Rouge at times.

Bring on the fall, end of season or no end of season and hope to see the regulars on the roads Saturday and Sunday mornings. Thanks to Dan and all his crew for pulling this off. You guys and gals rock!

This has been an amazing season and I am looking forward to more epic rides like this in years to come.

What an amazing event and one for the books to do it again next year! Thanks Dan for organizing this one as well with Jon, Jeff, and Alex S for route planning. A big thanks from support of Mike and Jamie from Blacksmith, Juan, Paul and James, and for everyone who are involved to make this happen. Although I am late for the party, I think age or senility slowly creeping out on me, to forget the shoe. A big thanks to Chris Mount for loaning me his car to drive back get the shoe, Chris I owe you a beer buddy! Thanks for the guys who welcome me to rejoin them after 2 and half hour of chasing, consuming 4 packets of energy gels, 3 energy bars,  and quick pit stop at gas station for refuel (water, bag beef jerky). Lets do this again next year and hoping for a better weather.

Hey, I'd like to thank our fearless leader Dan for organizing such a great EOS ride. Anyone who may have helped Dan organize this, hats off to you too. A big shout out to Mike and his crew from BlackSmith Cycles for helping Dan with the preparation of the event and for riding with BCC. Sorry, I forgot who did the catering, but the burgers and noodles ROCKED at the end of the ride; well worth the rain and pain. Lastly, thanks to Coventry North Land Rover for hosting/putting us with us and providing the start/stop location.

The ride itself was awesome even with two small crashes on the Motley Crue/Misfits Team; JayRod and his Pink Poodle Dinky fender/Warren. All survived to ride another day. As planned we started together and finished together; Koodo's to Laura as she was kicking some serious butt during this ride!!

I've gotta second Chris on this one,

Epic ride! Thanks Dan and Mike, and the rest of the gang for the planning and hospitality.

The food at the end was fantastic!

The route that we rode was alot of fun, rain or not.  Hope we can tackle it again next year.

I want revenge on those rollers with no rain..

Cheers!

Great job to Dan and all of the others that organized the ride and volunteered to support the ride today.   It was all first class and very well organized.   All of the food and snacks were awesome,  as was the route.   The rain even stayed more or less at bay.   Good job and kudos to all who participated.   All of the rollers made it a much tougher ride

Great job Daniel! The day was a super day...great route, great food, great company as usual...thanks BCC... We had a great time...it was worth the two hours it took to clean the bikes ;-)
We are sad that the season is over. We don't know what to do on Sundays anymore.

Amazing events like yesterday would not happen if it was not for dedication of people like you Dan. A huge heartfelt thank you for not just that one, but the everything surrounding the club - YAY! (and yes you didn't get to 'ENJOY' the weather on your bike, that was pretty smart too!!! ;)

Wow, that was a wonderful day.  Cycling is kinda funny that way, try to explain to non-cyclists that we choose to ride; 90plus km's in rain, some wind, a little mud, up tough hills, with a bunch of lycra clad adults, and not only do it, love it!

Thanks to Dan pulling it together, and giving up his ride to provide support along the route.  Thanks for use of the car dealership as our host, to the chefs for the tasty fresh made burgers and soba noodles, and of course the after ride beer.  What a treat to have the support van behind us, amazing!
