A group of us met at MC Park for the 6:30am Start.  We ended up getting back at 10:30am, missed the rain and added another ride to the record books.

How was your ride?

Great ride today possibly my best in terms of sustaining a higher speed for the 92 km; thanks to Dan, Peter, Paul and Mary oops ... not Mary but DRU.

Snake Slayers part 2 - Jamie, Charles, my bike, Jody, Paul M,  James and Ian looking good!

Funny how photos turn out, old blue kit on the right, new blue kit on the left, it wasn't even planned.

Great ride and fast, we tried to catch the first group, but I guess 45min to get to Marie Curis is alittle much to make up.  There were rumors of a smartly dressed bunch at the coffee shop before us, so we new we were close!

Great to see Gord Lemon for a bit of the ride, and Jamie's friend Carsten.   Thanks to everyone for the pulls!

Random Mountain Biker alert: Be on the look out on Mississauga Road for a fast mountain biker, strong on hills, a little less friendly than others we come across.  What he had in abililty he sure lost in attitude!

Hey Jeff, may have ran into mountain biker (MB) a few weeks ago. Not sure if it is the same guy as my encounter was somewhat friendly, I think? I was doing a solo ride in the evening out to Port Credit for a cup of bean. On Lakeshore in Long Branch I passed MB on the sidewalk. My ride plan that evening was to do something that sort of resembled an actual training ride. Was trying to keep a steady pace around 32/34klms. All of a sudden MB is off the sidewalk and on my wheel. I figured I would speed up for a bit and he would eventually fall off. Next thing I know he passes me at 37klms. He then pulled away and passes another roadie in full kit. I hung my head in shame and tried to stay with the plan. Caught him at a light at Browns line and the plan went out the window with my pathetic ego. Rode side by side with this MB at 40klms plus all the way out to Cawthra. I yelled over at this MB in cutt off jeans and T-shirt  with head phones on "hey dude you are really strong". He gave me the nod of appreciation or it could have been the nod of "hey I just kicked your ass"? And then he yelled back I gotta turn off here and he then pulled up the front wheel and rode through the intersection doing a wheelie at 40klms as a salute to me I think or perhaps it was a FU? Not sure. I was happy to return to my patheic 32klms and go drink my pathetic coffee by myself before I turned around to ride my sorry ass back home. Was a good ride.

Could have been the same guy or his brother. We were going south on Mississauga rd, caught him and three passed him, at which he sped up and pressed into the line at4th wheel and stuck like glue at 30kph uphill then 40 along the flats until the qew. He didn't acknowledge any of us, nor move off to leave the group until we slowed at lakeshore. It was a little weird!
