Donate to kids with cancer - Keld riding TO to NYC supporting Camp Ooch

Dear BCC friends,

As most of you know, my road back from a potentially fatal cycling accident 3 years ago has been a long one. I know all too well how life can change in an instant and how important it is to try and live a ‘normal’ life as you stare down medical challenges.

To help push my progress along and make a difference for other’s along the way, I’m committing myself to a 5 day (avg. 157km/day) inaugural cycling fundraiser from Toronto to NYC to benefit Camp OOCH which provides programming for children with cancer so that they can be themselves, and not “that kid with cancer”.

The costs of running this ride 'R2//NYC' is covered by generous sponsors, and riders like myself, so that we’re able to donate 100% of your tax receipted dollars to children facing cancer.

Won’t you please help me join this incredibly important cause?

The goal for 2019 is to have a full BCC team of 8-12 people riding together as a team meeting up with other teams in the evenings and in NYC for the party :)

Very cool Keld!  This will be an incredible event.  Are the organisers the same as the Tour for Kids?

Thanks Dave, it will be EPIC for sure - I hope I can stomach 5 back to back century rides :)

No it's Camp Ooch, the same organization that raises funds via the Goodlife 10K Run - they will start this up as their bike fundraiser... next year we aim to have a full BCC team.
