Sorry, no pictures.

What a lovely day - great weather, great riding. The butter tarts were delicious, as always. Much better coffee at Anina's this year with the new machine! Nice to see Mike Hingert and his vintage Austin Healey  Sprite up at the coffee shop. A terrific group of people turned out for the ride, and the groups seemed to separate naturally and ride very well well together. Seemed like a good time was had by all. Jeff, great route variation on the way up!

Dan and Lana, heard that you guys got caught at a light on the way up. SO SO SO sorry!!! There's no excuse. I had no idea. I thought that you'd taken a smaller group to Stouffville. I apologize a hundred times, especially for all the times you've made sure that the group has waited for stragglers (like me), and for the way you always keep everyone together. Hope that you ended up having a good ride anyway.

Did everyone have a great ride? Thoughts?

Hey Dan and Lana, sorry we missed you guys, someone said that you had turned off.

I think everyone needs to more aware of who we are riding with and to pass info forward if someone is behind.  If there are some who are not enjoying the pace (too slow or too fast) then lets split the group to make sure everyone has company.

On a better note:

Nice riding by Melani, Laura and our new friend Rae, (hope the spelling is correct).  After a speedy concession 2 from Bloomington to Webb the group split  and we formed a groupetto behind the main bunch.   We could see the main group ahead but 4 verses the mob meant closing the gap wasn't going to happen.  A few km's was all it took to get us comfortable riding close in the draft, and ramp up the speed.  Ressors was fast-tastic!

Indeed, was nice to finally see all the peeps on a proper Sunday ride with the club again, after such a long time. Mike H: great to see you and your gorgeous Sprite, although can't wait to see you out on two wheels again (no pressure, but it makes for a longer conversation).

It was probably my first official proper Sunday ride ever and I really enjoyed myself.

For the most part I kept up with the mob for most of the up journey, but as Alexx mentioned, natural selection took over and I moved back a bit just as we got to the YD line.  Found others like me though, so the ride was still fun.

It was amazing to coast up the Variety Village hill at 29.7km/hr when only a couple of years ago Jeff was pushing me up literally.

The ride back was so much fun.  With Jeff pulling myself, Laura and Rae, we formed a nice little group that actually went really fast.  We managed to do just over 113km with an average of 28.7km/hr....not bad! (Thanks Jeff)

Gotta say, that was one of my best club rides. Y'know when you wake up and you just feel great? If you deduct the lazy 5km to the coffee shop and then back home again, I averaged just under 30km/hr. I've never broken 27km/hr on a ride over 100k. Mel, you totally rocked - I think your France-legs were doin' you proud! It was great to be able to keep up on a Sunday ride - finally! We got a great group going on the way home and rode well together. Thanks to Paul and Rob for all the pulls! A very enjoyable day indeed!
