Well, this was something totally different. I popped into an M3 CX race on Saturday and had a blast - a muddy, painful blast. It was nice seeing Don and JJ there also racing - thanks for the tips guys. The race was located in Ancaster and was well organized although a little flat for my liking. Seeing as the course organizers seemed to have a special affinity for off camber, muddy turns, I was amazed that I only fell once. Unsure where everyone finished since the results are not up yet, but I came nowhere close to winning. Cyclocross is a format that rewards explosive speed, the ability to recover quickly from hard efforts, and good bike handling skills. It was a very hard 47 minutes and I was covered in mud by the end. Next weekend the action shifts to Centennial Park in Etobicoke so all you cyclocrossers should come out and rock the BCC kit. I hear this one will be a lot hillier. Awesome fun and on top of everything else my dad came out to see the race and put together this amazing video. Enjoy.
