Hey Steve,

I almost had you guys, but needed to save some for the ride home. I am notorious for cramping at the end... I gave up within 30 feet of you guys and then Mark B and the rest of the crew passed me at 50+km/h like I was stopped! Next time..... there will always be a next time!

Route Revamp will be in store for Next week. Stay tuned!

Had to Move this!

Quote: Bob Carreau....

Holy crap! I went out for the Tuesday night ride last night and got some “schooling”. Dan told me it was a nice quiet ride through the city and that we’d stop and look at some of the historic sites, take some photos and there may even be a picnic. Instead it was a freakin’ hammerfest and the only ‘picnic’ involved was that part of my supper that kept coming back up. The camaraderie was great though and the conversational aspects were tremendous – at one point I gasped “Shit” and Jeff answered with the “f” bomb – deep meaningful conversations like that are rare these days and should not be under-valued. I’d particularly like to thank the firefighters on Rutherford that helped me get back in the game when I came off the back end on the way home – those guys are really adept with the defibrillator and the oxygen therapy unit and got me back in the pack before the next light. (I had some explaining to do to my wife on why I had 2 shaved patches on my chest when I got home.) I would also like to thank the City of Toronto for strategically placing stop signs or traffic lights at every possible intersection – without these I would have lost the pack at km point 3 and would likely still be driving North (unaware of the actual route) and approaching Wawa by now. And finally the 11:30 p.m. finish has added a dimension to my marriage – the hamstring cramp that I got at 2:30 resulted in the involuntary and violent straightening of my right leg – which ejected my wife from the bed and sent her skidding across the floor ( I am making excuses here at work for the black eye I mysteriously woke up with). Next week I might skip the ride and go sign up for the UFC Open at the Rogers Centre.

a great ride as usual. I have to admit that I loved our sneak attack on rosedale valley road.
