Well, the predicted thundershowers never materialized, so Tim, Jeff, Alexx, Thi, Evan, and I took advantage to sneak in another Monday off-road ride. Our beginners Alexx and Thi have really stepped up their game, so we tackled some of the more difficult single track in the north Crothers Wood area - "Real mountain biking" as Thi would gleefully declare mid-ride!
Check out the video of Alexx ripping one of the little ravine sections - it's a touch section, much tougher than it looks. Without steady nerves to stay off the brakes, you don't get enough momentum to exit out of the ravine (there's a video showing that, too). Alexx was so excited about clearing this section, she promptly crashed into me and the tree I was standing beside!
A ton of fun was had tonight. And to cap it all of, we were fortunate to see yet more deer in the Don Valley. We all got a good look at him, but unfortunately the video (last one of the series) doesn't do the sighting justice - I guess screeching to a stop and whipping out my camera spooked him a little.
Thanks for a fun time, everyone!
