Well, for those of you who haven't heard it, here's how Rob Ford feels about bicycles:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nySs1cEq5rs

And for those of you who are runners, his brilliant idea on today's news was that due to the traffic inconvenience that these darn marathons cause, he will take all marathons off city streets and move them into the city parks so that they don't disrupt traffic.

Can you imagine how many laps of High Park you'd have to do to run a full marathon? In fact, why don't all those silly runners just do laps at Birchmount Collegiate track and count up their laps. Or why doesn't everyone just stay home, eat some chips and buy a pick-up truck?

Who is the best alternative for mayor? Every day Rob Ford says something even stupider than the day before. We can't let this guy get elected! I think I'm liking Joe Pants, but does anyone have any good insights for discussion?

Please discuss (or just share your stupid Rob Ford stories...)

Found this.... isn't surprising after watching this that he would say that about cyclists.

OMG! All those Rob Ford clips are incredible! He will really bring out a full range of voters - basically, anyone who hates cyclists, the homeless, immigrants, anyone who doesn't believe in "traditional marriage", women, the disabled... he hates 'em all! Wow. Where is that ACME Anvil falling from the sky when you need it...

Hot off the presses, and to Patryk's comment, Sarah Thomson just dropped out, and is throwing her support behind George Smitherman. Getting interesting...

I know what you mean, Pat. I've just been reading his website... it's not so bad, if he actually does some of the things he says... it makes my skin crawl, but the thought of Ford being our mayor is so odious...

Something else to consider is the candidates running for Councillor and which of them are aligned with Ford. We just received a newspaper in the mail called "Your Ward News". The front page headline is "Anbody but Bussin". When you read the article it is quite obvious that this paper is pro-Ford and the back page has additional "ad" jabs at Bussin.

The website listed for the paper (http://www.yourwardnews.ca) does not even exist, but http://yourwardnews.com is Rob Ford's concillor website - not likely a coincidence . Inside the paper it lists some candidates for Ward 32, but only the ones that appear to be aligned with Ford (Bruce Baker in particular).

All in all I found the whole thing pretty slimy. Also makes me re-think some of the businesses that advertised in this paper.

We got that paper too - it's pretty incredible. It reads like it was written by an angry grade 7 drop-out. It contains gratuitous use of quotation marks, questionable facts (ie. that wind tubines are just a big scam that's being controlled by the mafia - ?), and slanderous comments. Love the article about Paula Fletcher the "Communist Infiltrator". There's an add for E-bikes and other items that just lists a guy's phone number... sounds like the guy that goes around our neighbourhood with his lock-cutters stealing stuff and taking it to the pawn shop to sell... Rob Ford will stoop to any level to win this election. Good investigative sleuthing, Steve - it figures that the slimy trail leads right to Rob Ford's door...
