Stouffville Thanksgiving Sunday Ride

Hope you all had a good ride. Peter/Paul, sorry we didn't hold up for you. I didn't realize you weren't there until St. Clair. Hope you made it home ok.

Our disappearance was my fault - my "world's fasted flat fix" (couple km south of Stouffville) might have been fast, but it wasn't very good and I had a slow leak.

I stopped at Midland and Eglinton because I didn't want to damage my wheel, and because the leak was noticeably affecting the handling of the bike. I think Paul stopped because he knew that no one had stopped when I had the original flat, and he didn't want me being left behind twice on one ride.

It was a nice, fast ride, though!

Hold on, you fixed a flat after we left the coffee shop and caught up by Middlefield? By yourself?! We were going pretty quick. Full tube change and all? That in itself is amazing!

Thank you, good sir! I had an awesome time and wish I had come out sooner. I plan to make as many rides as I can before the weather goes kaput this season. I would have come out today if I didn't have to keep to my studies. :(

Peter, I had no idea you had an initial flat! You had mentioned the slow leak, but I thought you had put some CO2 in before I made it back to you. You are, indeed, a strong man to have caught up the first time. Hope your ride home after we split was without trouble.

Don't get too impressed! I flatted about 2 km south of Stouffville, BEFORE the break. That flat was pretty easy to figure out - there was a large carpet tack sticking out of my front wheel - so the fix was relatively quick (though I screwed it up, hence the slow leak on the way back).

And I didn't actually catch back on - I gave it the old college try, but if you guys hadn't stopped at the coffee shop, there's no way I would have caught you.

Caffeine is my friend in many, many ways... :)
