Sunday June3 - BCC to Klienburg Plus

Nice to ride with all these keeners again this week.

Me, Dru, Charles, James, Ian, Dave O for the extra loop, Cristina, Roy, Kevin, Gord B, Mike, Jake to Klienburg, and Mohamed who turned back early.   Notably absent - you know who you are!

Oops, forgot a start of ride photo, but, here is the group that did the extra loop.

The forecast from Saturday showed showers for Sunday am, but, lucky for us it was wrong!  The update in the morning showed clearing until 10:30 then chance of showers, and again, lucky for us it was wrong!

What we got: Overcast with dry roads to start, a little dampness and spray off the wheels on Leslie until the turn, then dry and clearing.  Glorious sunshine for the ride home.

Thanks for the ride,

I hope the Klienburg and back group had a good ride home and hope the ride for heart people had a great time too!

Certainly a great day on the bike! Gotta say, Charles and Ian have got the early season fitness! Yikes! Here are my stats for the day: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185206201 . Looking forward to another round next week!

Guilty as charged. My early morning look outside suggested crap weather on the way as did all the forecasts. All I can say is all apologies for being so lame. My penance: missing out on a nice long ride and losing any possible, yet highly unlikely, flahute status.

Showed up @ Grinder at 7am not knowing the ride started at 6:30. I will check the Posting more closely next time! I ended up doing a solo trip around Musselman Lake. Encountered very few cyclists out that way-I guess the weather forecast kept them in!

Peter, sorry you missed us.  You would have needed a few short cuts to make up a 30min head start.

Hey Angie, there are a few rollers heading into Kleinburg, but it's north of Kleinburg where it really gets hilly. Check out the stats I pulled from my Garmin after our ride last week. (Disregard the calorie-count, it's way high).

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185206201 If I were you, I'd start out with the MajorMac to Kleinburg+Loop route.
