It was sure awesome weather.  Thanks to Jon and Brian for leading a couple groups.

As planned our bunch stuck to a moderate pace to Stouffville.  45km up at 24 average, 40km back with 27 average, downhill with a tail wind home is sure sweet!  Congrats to the those making it to Stouffville for the first time (Melani, Laura,...)

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Here is the route:

Gerard E, Birchmount S, Kingston E, Lawson N, Old Kinsgston E, Meadowvale N, continue past zoo, becomes Plug Hat, Beare N, Steeles E, 11th line N, County rd 30 N, Main st Stouffville W,

coffee at For the Love of Joe,

Main st E, 10th line S, Steeles W, Reesor S, Old Finch W, Sewells S, around the bend becomes Old Finch again, Morningview S, Sewells W, Nielson S, Military Trail W, Ellesmere W, Scarborough GC S, Kingston Road W Danforth W, Warden S, Clonmore W, becomes Gerrard, Main.

(funny that both coffee shops are on Main)

Good call Jeff, it was a great ride. I hope Jon's group had an awesome Pickering loop as well. Hopefully Ed Doyle make it back without problem, as he turns around before Metro Zoo.

We should add this route to Saturday social ride, as the season progress.

The ride to Stouffville is a great addition, the route we took has a few small climbs but is mostly flat and at 85km won't use up the whole day.  I think that after doing the zoo loop and Pickering a few times, (say 5 or 6 Saturday rides), then this ride is a good progression.  We need to be careful to break up into different pace groups so that the fast guys can go and the slower people don't feel pushed beyond their limits.

As one of the newbies to Stouffville, I really enjoyed the ride.  Thanks to everyone for making it an absolutely doable event.  Who would have thought Stouffville two years ago.....wow!

Looking forward to doing it again.  :) Mel

The smaller group of us who went out to the zoo had a good ride.  We stayed together and were pretty organized the whole way.  It was 10:00 AM when I pulled off at Warden/Danforth (had to get home quickly).  Thanks to everybody in the group for a really nice, quick morning spin.

Guy, which way did you return?  We saw your group leave and head W from the coffee shop.   Our group went East from coffee then down 10th line to stay "country" as long as possible.
