Fast and Fun!

Any route suggestions to get from our start point to past Ontario Place?  It would be nice to miss some of the traffic lights and rough roads.

We could start at the Humber bridge... Would make it easier for individual riders to get there. Thoughts?

Had a great time, thanks everyone! Starting at Humber Bridge may help with getting there individually, but start time may be a problem for some (myself included). Give an extra 15-30 mins? Jeff: Unless we take an inner city route (maybe toward Royal York via Old Mill or Dundas St W like we did last year), I don‘t see how else we can get down there while still staying close to the lake and avoid streetcar tracks. Tricky indeed!

Maybe alittle closer to the beaches would be better.  How about meeting at 7:45 at the stop lights at the main entrance to Ontario Place?  Riding lakeshore from that point to Mimico was okay.

That sounds good to me! In that case, we relegate our only sketchy section to the Jameson bridge. At that time of night, it tends to be dying down anyway. Looking forward to next week.

Happy to start anywhere but I am not all that fussed about the library start as it does give you some time to warm up rather than starting at warp speed. I guess the warmup will be riding on the path from the beach to get to ontario place which i think is about 11kms.

By the way, excellent ride as usual, appreciate all of you waiting for my tire change. We had some fast and furious moments although I would have to say it was the tamest I have seen going down keele and yet we probably made it in record time.

Here is an updated route with 2 changes:  http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5525235

1 Start point is at Lakeshore Rd and the main entrance to Ontario place.

2 Instead of going thru York U and all the stop signs, we turn south directly after the 400 interchange on Norfinch and go to Sheppard.  (this is for Patrick, he wanted another hill)
