Well, the precipitation failed to materialize but the threat of rain seems to have driven away the crowds this week.
Mohamed Eltorki and Alex Herceq met me at the designated start point and we rolled over to Brimley where Dave Shedd joined us. Brimley may not quite measure up to Mt. Ventoux, but there are still some 13% grade sections that will get the legs burning (at least for a short period).
After a few trips up and down Brimley, we tracked over to Meadowcliff - Dave hadn't seen this hill before; it's a brute. I measured a grade of 17% at one point on my Garmin. Uggh.
Here`s a link to my stats: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/203448043 In case you`re wondering why my heart rate seems to be incredibly low (zero in fact), it`s because I forgot my heart rate monitor, and not because I`ve joined the living dead.
