So Brooke, Kevin, Matthew, and I showed up at approximately 6:30, waited for ten minutes and headed out to Brimely. At Kingston and Midland we saw four BCCers booting it the other way. We yelled over but they did not hear us so we continued on to Brimley. We met Lawrence there, a very nice person.
After three hill repeats the sky was not looking too good so back we went. As we pulled out onto Kingston, a woman yelled 'tornado warning!' out the car window which made us pick up our pace considerably. Half a kilometer later the skies opened up and we sprinted for shelter in the lobby of a nearby building. It kept raining and I was getting impatient so I offered to ride back, get the car, and pick up Brooke. Against Brooke's better judgement I headed out into the storm for one of the hairiest rides of my life. At one point lightning struck somewhere very near to me (Note to self, wash bike shorts). I got home just in time to see the sun come out. Needless to say, I could not have been wetter had I jumped in the lake.
Oh well, it makes for a good story and I can laugh about it now. Hope everyone got home okay. See you guys soon.
