Hello all,

The 2019 Tour de France is fast approaching and Team TechyKids Cycling (race team for a number of BCC club members) is pleased to present a fantasy cycling league. No better way to follow the 2019 Tour than to play and serve as a directeur sportif of your own team of 8 riders. As a participant of the fantasy league, your entry will benefit, one of the longest local charity cycling events that raises money to help children living with cancer.

  2. 2. Go to to learn about team setup and game rules
  3. 3. Go to to join “Tour de France – Standard”. The TDF event may not appear on the competition list until 3-5 days before when teams have finalized their roster.
  4. 4. From, click on “Join a league”, and enter League ID “75617” to join “TechyKids Cycling in support of RideForKaren” private league.
  5. 5. E-transfer entry fee to  Upon receipt of entry fee, access to league will be approved.


One change to the regular “Standard” (vs. Purist) format, rider transfers will only be allowed 3 times; after stage 5, rest day 1, rest day 2. Each time, fantasy players will be allowed to change three riders. Changing a retired rider will NOT count as one of three rider changes.



Entry will be $20; two entries for $30. Cash winning will be distributed as follows: 40% to 1st place, 20% to 2nd place, 40% to Ride for Karen.

Team TechyKids is also gathering stuff to offer as swag for inter-race prize and for overall winner. Please e-mail or private message me if you have anything to contribute to swag offering.

Inter-race prizes will be announced prior to start of TDF.

BCC Rides

Cycling in the summer can be about casual riding, sprinting, spinning, big-ring hammerfests or what ever your chosen type of riding is. The BCC was founded for the sole purpose to network cyclists. It has grown into a successful club which accommodates Riders at almost all skill/fitness levels. Everyone should be able to participate and have fun at their respective levels.


Weekend Rides: 


Saturday Morning
Start time is 8:00am early season, 7:00am as days get longer. Route distances vary from 55-120km and several pace groups are available. Saturday morning rides focus on a social vibe.


Sunrise Sundays
Rides will start around sunrise. Rotating routes will focus on distances from 55-160km.  Remote start rides outside the GTA.

Weekly Rides:



Advanced Turbo Tuesdays
For this ride, advanced group riding and bike handling skills are required. You must also be aware of your limitations. Riding speed is 35kph+.


Hillicious Thursdays
Starts at 5:40am. This ride includes Bayview, pottery rd, redway other local hills.



Starts at 5:30AM. Bring your CX or MTB out for a great Don trail ride. Some weeks, we'll head to a local park to practice CX skills.
