now I remember exactly why I would religiously ride the tuesday night slugfest. It is all about sending your heart rate to the redline, recovering (but only slightly) and then doing it all again. According to my Garmin, the hot laps of the crit, we were doing the 1.56km circuit in 2:17:65 or 40.8km/hr, I had average watts of 334 and an average heart rate of 170. Unfortunately, after the stop at the variety store, I failed to turn the garmin back on so the stats from the sprint across kingston/danforth are forever lost. Thanks for the good ride all. One lesson learned on the night is we always need to be very clear about intentions (turning, stoppping)  as nightfall leaves little room for error.  Cheers

Thanks QB, I think the sprint along Danforth Rd.(just shy of 60kph), your wattage was in the 6-700 watts range.  I know my HR was at 190bpm trying to hang on!  Jody and Ryan, thanks for your lead outs!  You guys were riding strong tonight. The Crit was awesome as well.  Bob C., you rode so well tonight.  You must be on a secret training schedule:-)

It's funny how every year, the riding speed just getting faster and faster.  I remember in 2007-8 when riding over 30kph was awesome.  Now the pace is at 40kph.  Guess in 4 years, we should be over 50kph?

I posted a short list of items to recall/revisit located here: http://beachescyclingclub.ning.com/group/2011tuesdaynightride730pm/...

John, it was me who yelled out slow moving vehicles as I was racing DY and the KID up the hill, it was very much meant to be in jest not at all a commentary about your riding, so I apologize that it sounded like and was taken as a slight, it certainly wasn't meant to be! Sorry about that.
