Well, some of us started at Marie Curtis at 6:30, some of us began at Leslie & Lakeshore at 6:30, and one of us (Steve W.) even started at Leslie & Lakeshore at 5:30! Actually, I think Dave O. started out there too.
Our MC Park group was about 14 strong. Lets see who I can remember: Steve W., Dave O., Nick B., Brian M., Evan, Megan, Terry, Nick, Wayne, Brian W., a fellow I've never met wearing Enbridge jersey, Jason, Alexx and yours truly. Terry had a bit of a mechanical as we climbed Mississauga Road past UTM. Was a good thing we stopped, as it allowed me to get a not very good photo of some of the six deer we saw wandering around the campus right by the road. We lost Dave O. at Trafalgar where he turned back. (Probably couldn't handle the pace. Cha. Right.) The rest of us had a nice, uneventful ride out to the big climb. It went so well we went 'round and did it again before heading over to Coffee Culture, where I was high-fived (no really, I was!) by an incredulous server there, who couldn't believe we'd come all the way from Toronto, only to climb Rattlesnake a couple of times and head back home. She did, however, believe I deserved both the double espresso and toffee blondie I ordered. I did too.
Anyway, as we were about to head out, the guys starting at L&L showed up. We exchanged pleasantries, took a pic for proof, and headed back, with everyone, and now Mohammed too, in tow. A while after turning onto Britannia, we wondered where the heck Megan, Evan and Brian W. were. Later on, Jason busted a spoke, so we left him behind. No, just kidding, we limped along our way. Upon our return to Marie Curtis, why there were Megan, Evan and Brian. Turns out Megan had managed a mechanical too, but they altered their route (and probably booked it) so we never saw them until the finish.
Anyone else got anything to add?
